I know it seems like I brag about this guy almost every day, but I just know he is going be the next big thing in hip hop. I really think he has the potential to gain as much success as artists such as Kid Cudi or B.o.B. He has so many styles and is great on all of them. This new track "I'm Coming Home" has a very laid back style to it and has a catchy hook with great lyrics in between. Enjoy.

SICK HIP HOP - LAID BACK - ONCUE - CUEY SINGS THE BLUES MIXTAPE

This post is way overdue. OnCue completely shocked me with his mixtape "Cuey Sings the Blues". I was expecting one or two better than average tracks and the rest to be nothing special. I was proven wrong. Every song of his mixtape is sampled with classic hits by artists such as Dave Matthews Band, Third Eye Blind, Teagan and Sara, Modest Mouse and more. His most known song is definitely "Crashing Down" but that doesn't necessarily mean its his best. I can't stress enough that everyone of these songs I'm posting from his mixtape is worth a listen. Everyone has a different taste in music and he provides such a variety that its impossible to not appreciate one of these songs.

TRAPPED IN MY MIND LIVE - KID CUDI - NEW SONG/CD

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Kid Cudi is my favorite artists in any category of music of all time. Every song he does seems to be relatable to life. This song, which I'm guessing will be one of his singles off his new CD Man on The Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager is no exception. I had some doubts this summer that his new cd wouldn't live up the hype, this song alone changed my opinion. When I saw him in September, he played "Trapped in My Mind" and won the crowd over immediately. This new cd is going to be amazing so PLEASE go and buy it when it comes out November 9th. Sorry the quality of this video isn't the best, but I can't find any better ones.

BRAND NEW - MUST HEAR - SAM ADAMS MORE DUBSTEP RAP

Sam Adams's mixtape Party Records was released recently and on that mixtape almost every song was the new style of dubstep hip hop. This song came out after the record when many other artists have been trying to copy this style that Sam Adams claims "he invented". I'm not too sure this claim is true but he did bring a lot more interest and popularity into this genre. Listen to the line around 23 seconds, that is where he makes his bold claim. This song is definitely a step up for Sam Adams. He seems like he has something to prove and he wants everyone to know, its hard to compete with him in this genre.

COMPLETE SPEAKER BANGER - ITS ALIVE - I-JAH

This song isn't really new, it is actually the first song I ever heard that was considered dubstep. Most people listen to Rusko their first time ever hearing dubstep. Rusko is great, but this song bangs harder than any of his songs. Rusko actually covers this song at his concerts. The first time I heard it, I was blown away (literally). If you have any decent speakers PLEASE play this song through them full blast. The song isn't very complex but when the first drop comes in, its amazing. I guarentee you, not many other songs bang harder on a bass then this track. So turn up the speakers and get ready to feel your house shake as you listen to this.

Okay so Lil Wayne has less than two weeks left in prison. I can't wait for this day just because I know he's been writing so much new material in jail. He even got in trouble while he was there so he had to go to a room of a solitude for a while. Weezy was just trapped in a room with his thoughts, which is pretty dangerous. Anyway here's a new unreleased track to spark everyone back into the Lil Wayne genre. Its nothing amazing but its Weezy, so it still has some sick flows with some awkward lyrics that make for a good overall sound.

BRAND NEW - SLIM THUG - B.o.B - MUST HEAR - AMERICAN SINGLE

Okay so I went to B.o.B. concert in Houston, Tx last Tuesday. While I was there I was more than impressed. Besides from Kid Cudi, there is no other rapper that can put on such a great show. He is full of musical talent, playing the piano and guitar throughout many of his songs while singing and rapping. The intensity of the show was kept up when local Houston rappers came on stage to accompany BoB. Slim Thug, Tre, and Bun B all showed up to help put on a sick show. Anyway during the concert Slim Thug introduced a new song in which B.o.B sings the hook of the chorus on. I am a huge Slim Thug and BoB fan and they compliment each other perfectly in this track. Here's the new video of this new single "So High". The music video was just released a few days ago. Check it out. This song has some straight swagger.

Ok so Michael, aka MikeKool sent me a few songs of his the other day. Since the website is pretty new I wasn't exactly expecting anything too great. I was proven wrong and ended up finding some new sick tracks. MikeKool is a very laid back rapper who to me, has a little bit of a Lupe Fiasco feel to him. He has been making music since he was 14 but started making beats and flowing three years later. He is now a 19 year old college kid that lives in the Bronx, NY, trying to get up in the game. His sound is much mature than most teenagers. After talking with MikeKool he told me that he tries to make all his music to be relevant to whats going on with his life. His style is smooth and cool which can be attributed to his personality. Anyway this kid is sick and is a MUST HEAR. Check him out and spread the word.

Okay so a lot of the music I've been posting has been dubstep material and I know that some people still haven't been won over by this genre of music. Its understandable, I mean not a lot of people like instrumental songs and sometimes thats all dubstep seems to be. If you are one of these people, give this playlist a listen. Its not as hardcore and crazy as all the rest but instead adds a more laid back feel. Don't let the genre title push you away from these songs. Check them out. I already had a post earlier about J Cole, and if you don't know I am a huge J Cole fan. Everything this guy comes out with is better than his last. He has a true hip-hop style, meaning his lyrics actually have relatable content and he doesn't repeat the same line 100 times in a song. This new track I'm On It is my favorite up to date. It has a dark but serious style. The song basically talks about how he is coming up in the game and will be making it big real soon. I could go on forever about the potential and skills of J Cole, but instead Ill just let J Cole convince you by posting his music. Check this one out. MUST HEAR.

Ok so this song is pretty weak on the rhymes and lyrics but the beat and sampling job is flawless. Its by Solo, a white teenaged kid trying give off a mac miller vibe. After every listen I find myself craving more. I think I've literally played it 30 times just today. A Track is a sick dj with an upbeat style that is making straight fire. All of his beats and mixes are bangin and this song is no exception. Give it a listen. If you don't like it, please give one or two more tries. You won't regret it. Lately Boston has been blowing up with their new style of pop-hip-hop that Sam Adams started there. Many new artists are trying to copy this style but are not successful. The Dean's list is another group from Boston and they have been continuing to impress me with every new track they come out with. The first time I heard of these guys was when their remix of Breakeven by the Script came out. They like to sample other songs in their beats and have a relaxed but still poppy kinda of rapping style. Their newest song is sampled with the song We are the People by Empire of the Sun and makes for a track with swag. Ok so dupstep has become one of the most popular genres lately. Recently a bunch of hip-hop artists have experimented with rapping over these crazy beats and actually made it sound decent. At first I didn't think it was possible for any dupstep to ever sound good with hip-hop, but with dupstep artists like rusko, it is indeed possible. If you haven't heard of Mac Miller yet, I don't know where you have been. This guy has jumped up in the game and gains more fame everyday. The best part is that he is only 18. He is often compared with the other new white rappers like Sam Adams and Chris Webby but has a very different style. He is known for a more laid back feel rather than the pop hip hop style of Sam Adams.  For me its hard to put those three in any order because my opinion changes everyday. CATCHY NEW GROUP - ALL OUT - GET YOU TO MOVE

This is another group that is blowing up on youtube. They released their first single "Lights" about a year ago, and have exponentially gained attention since. Whenever I hear All Out the first thing that comes to my mind is 3oh!3. They have the same kind of catchy hooks on the chorus with the obnoxious rapping and harmonizing also taking place throughout the song. Overall it makes for a great sound and is too catchy. Try to listen to this song or "Lights" without having them stuck in your head for the rest of the day. Its impossible.

LAID BACK HIP HOP - G RIOT - MOONY

G Riot is an upcoming rapper that is really starting to gain attention. It is easy to see why when you listen to his track Moony. This is very laid back song with a great relaxed piano based beat. The way G Riot flows fits the track perfectly and makes for a sick song. Sit back and kick it with some new G Riot, you won't be disappointed.

Okay so this song isn't brand new, but if you have never heard of J. Cole it is a track that must be heard. J. Cole is one of those rappers that has been so close to making it big for the past year and has become one of my new favorites. He is respected by everyone in the business just not by the public, YET. He has a very relaxed feel in this song and as always his flow is flawless. Check this song out along with everything else by J. Cole.
