Today I got a new submission from an artist I had never heard of. His name is Bramzwig and I have to say, I was more than impressed after my first listen. A lot of people will submit material that is bad recording quality or just a joke of track; it was nice to hear a legit track with great quality. Bramzwig has a style that will be liked by people who enjoy artists such as Chris Webby. The song I have today is called "Locked Out" and here is what Bramzwig had to say about it.
"The song I'm submitting to you, "Locked Out," is EXTREMELY RELEVENT because the song revolves around Bramzwig's frustration with the NBA Lockout (He is a big Knicks fan). The middle of the song features quotable Space Jam lines delivered by Michael Jordan and Bill Murray.
This is also the first leak off Bramzwig's long awaited debut mixtape, The Roaring Twenty, which will be hosted by Mr. Peter Parker & sponsored by Coast2Coast Mixtapes. #TheRoaringTwenty is being released this December, and will be shopped to record labels by Transworld Entertainment (the corporation that owns F.Y.E. music stores)."
Anyway check out this new up and comer and I'm sure we will have more dope tracks from Bramzwig in the future. If you want to hear more check out his sites.
TracksWithSwag is back. I've been really busy these last few weeks and haven't had time to keep the site up to date. I have a lot of new music to share and I mean a lot. Since I have so many new tracks, I will be posting a different post for each genere. I wish I had the time to go in more detail about each song and artists but unfortunately I don't. Anyways sorry for the delay and enjoy all these new posts below.
Dubstep/Eletro
Who Da Boss (Ft Slim Thug) - Mochipet *** MUST HEAR
If you like Slim Thug and you like Dubstep then allow me to present your new favorite song. In no way does this song have the catchiest dub hook or anything but lets be honest no one cares about that. What really matter is that it DOES have Slim Thug and a whole lot of hard hitting bass. Hit play and you'll be hooked.
Raise Your Head - Alesso **
This is a new electro/dub anthem that has a lot of cool different sounds that make it original. Not to mention the quality of the bass is amazing. The sound is crisp and distorted to perfection. It also has a build up around 1:08 that will put you in a trance. Sick track.
Young Wild and Free (Karetus Dubstep Mix) - Wiz Ft Snoop and B Mars ***
When I first saw the title of the song I was expecting an upbeat party banger because the original version is great for parties. This version is definitely not a party track. Instead its more of laid back version that is great to kick back with. After my first listen I was a little disappointed because it wasn't the style I was expecting but after getting over my preconceived notion it has become one of my favorites.
Okay so I know this list may seem like a lot but trust me they are all worth a listen.
Wonderwall - Mike Posner Ft Big Krit ***
This track is exactly what it sounds like. Its a remix of Wonderwall by Oasis, which is probably one of the greatest songs of all time, done by Mike Posner featuring a flow by Big Krit. Having these two guys on the same song should be enough to get you to listen to it. Mike Posner has always mixed with well with hip hop artists (such as Big Sean, Lil Wayne and more) and this one is no exception with Big Krit.
Another World - Skizzy Mars **
Skizzy Mars may not be the best rapper lyrically, or any aspect but I'm obsessed anyway. He always has the best beats and all his songs are incredibly catchy. This new release isn't my favorite of his but it is still a great song. It will entice you right from the start. Skizzy Mars is continuing to get better and he still hasn't released a single song that I dont like.
What I Do - Chris Webby **
Its been a while since Webby, who is known for releasing more free music than anyone, has dropped anything. The wait is over. Here is his latest single from his upcoming mixtape coming out soon. He has been doing his thing since before Mac Miller and Sam Adams ever gained fame and every year he is getting closer to breaking through.
Unbelievers - The Deans List **
First off let me say I am a huge Dean's List fan. I saw them a few weeks ago with OnCue and the show was great. Now let me say I'm not sure I like the new direction they have been going with their music. They haven't really released too much new stuff but the few songs they have kinda differ from their old style. Im not saying this is bad, Im probably just not used to it yet. Sonny still has a great flow and the song is still worth a listen. Anyway for all you Deans List fans, here's their latest track.
Ray Charles - Chiddy Bang ***
Chiddy Bang is back. Finally. He hasn't really released anything since Peanut Butter and Swelly. Now we have his latest track with Xaphoon. Like always the beat is awesome and Chiddy's flow is sick. Great song to kick back with.
Hello - Neako ***
Neako is an upcoming rapper who has been gaining some serious attention. This is my favorite track of his because the beat is amazing. It samples the song "Hello" and creates an extremely catchy track. Once you hit play you will be hooked. This is the same song as the video on this post.
I know I've said it before but 5 and A Dime and Kap Slap have become my two favorite mash up artists. They are pretty much the only ones I listen to now. Today I've got two awesome tracks from them that blend hip-hop dubstep and more all into a one party jam masterpiece. I also have a laid back mash up by Norwegian Recycling.
June is Soon - 5 & A Dime **
This song features my favorite Pretty Lights track "I Know The Truth" and mashes it with Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes to create a banger.
Paper Towels In Motion (Skrillex Edit) - Kap Slap ***
This track mashes Skrillex, La Roux and more and just like the song above creates a huge party hit.
Paradise - Norwegian Recycling ***
Its probably obvious from the title this song incorporates Coldplay and yes it does. If you thought the Coldplay version of Paradise was relaxing wait til you hear this work of art. It mixes Elton John (the best part of the mash up for sure), Bruno Mars, DJ Sammy and Coldplay.
And thats it for right now. I've got more coming soon but for now enjoy these tracks with swag.
Its about forever since Sam Adams has released anything and an even longer time since he has released anything that was decent. He is finally making a comeback with the new release of is single "Blow Up" which has a sick instrumental made from sampling the Pixie's "Where Is My Mind". Its good to see he is back to making music with his older style. His dubstep/hip-hop mixtape was alright but it just wasn't great. I'm looking forward to seeing what Sam drops next.
Casey Veggies is an eighteen year old up and coming rapper from LA. By no means does he sound this young. I was shocked when I found that out. He was actually one of the first people to team up with Tyler the Creator to start the group Odd Future which have gained a huge buzz. Veggies left before they ever got real famous due to difference in music styles. Its apparent when you listen to his music that his lyric and flow would not fit well with Odd Future's so called "horror-core/shock value/ or whatever you want to describe them as". Tyler the Creator has said many times they are still friends and it wasn't anything he took personal. Tyler is actually featured on one of is tracks, "DTA", and it sounds like it is one of his original beats. Anyway the mixtape I'm going to post on here are tracks done Casey Veggies when he was only 17! Listen to this guy and tell thats not impressive. I used to think it was crazy that Mac Miller was so young, but this guy has an even better flow and feel for hip hop than Mac had at 17. Its funny that I say that because Casey Veggies is currently on tour with Mac Miller. So if your going to see Mac anytime soon make sure to get these songs. These are all from his mixtape "Sleeping In Class" which is available on Itunes for 6 bucks. Not bad. The only way to describe Casey Veggie's music is SWAG.
DTA (Ft Tyler the Creator)****
Ridin' Round Town ****
Forever ***
This is one of my favorites but it has a skit until 1:00 so FF through that if you want.
(Song starts at :40 seconds) Okay so I have completely slept on Gilbere Forte for the past year. I had heard his most popular song "Black Chukkas" but never really looked into him. Last night I saw him perform and was blown away. Today I downloaded all I could of this guy. Already one of my favorite rappers. Forte has the skills you need to separate yourself from other rappers. His flow is flawless and reminds me of a Kanye mixed with J Cole mixed with a little Meek Mill (probably because they are both from Philly). His lyrics are insightful but at the same time are very relatable (reminds me a lot of NAS in the lyrics department). Alright Ill stop with the comparisons now. I'm telling you that this guy is the real deal. Hes what people call "real hip hop" on a mainstream level. He has been releasing free music constantly and has a bright future. I'm gonna make a bold prediction right now and say Gilbere Forte will be on the next XXL Freshman List. Anyway I'll post a variety of his stuff. Check it out and support this guy who has been slept on for way too long.
