CHILDISH GAMBINO - DONALD GLOVER - MUST HEAR

I never dedicated a full post to Childish Gambino because I never really gave him a fair listen. Well over easter break he is all I listened to. Oh and his real name is Donald Glover, you may have heard of him, he is known for being a writer/comedian/producer/actor. He wrote for the show "30 Rock" before he was 25 (as stated in Let Me Dope You). He is also in movies such as "Mystery Team" and TV shows like "Community".  I had no idea that Donald Glover was the same as Childish Gambino until I watched his music video and was stunned. I was shocked because his rap has a much different sound than his normal talking voice. Not to mention, I had just watched "Mystery Team" before I saw the music video and my image of Donald Glover was of goody good pretty boy. Not true. His lyrics are offensive at times but very creative unlike most hip hop now days. His style is somewhat like Kanye and he definitely has some hollywood swag about him. I really think this guy will make it big in hip hop because his creativity is just insane. Next up...watch and see. Anyway heres a few songs from him.

Not much to say about this song besides that its one of the best collaborations I've heard in a long time. I never thought Wale and Mac Miller would team up but am glad they did. These are two of my favorite artists. Wale and Mac show a more mature side of themselves on this track. The beat in this song fits the lyrics and the flows perfectly. Very laid back sick collaboration.

The video above was released a little over a week ago. I wasn't the biggest fan of the song until this video came out. The first time I saw it, I got chills. Probably because Im obsessed with Mac but also because its cool to see how much success hes gained. Its awesome. Now I can't stop listening.

BEST SONG ON THIS PLAYLIST HANDS DOWN. This song is a little over a month old but was sort of an underground release. Anyway its starting to get really popular and expect to hear it at parties all the time. Even people who don't agree with the message of this song like it. Its almost impossible not to like. Pretty much if you don't have this song...your not cool.



Ocean Drop - Pj Simas ** DOWNLOAD HERE
SICK BEAT. Pj Simas has been working hard for the past 3 years to get where he is now. He dropped this new single about a week ago and is about to drop a full mixtape. Look for that soon. His music is somewhat poppy but very catchy. This song is hip-hop/pop and will get stuck in your head all day.
